Bishop Idowu-Fearon Tasks President Jonathan, Buhari On Forgiveness

Bishop of Kaduna Diocese of the Anglican communion, Bishop Josiah Idowu-Fearon has called on President Goodluck Jonathan and the President-elect, General Muhammadu Buhari of the All Progressives Congress (APC) on the need to forgive one another sequel to utterances against each other during the campaigns.

In the same vein, he urged the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and any other political party that may feel aggrieved by the outcome of the just concluded presidential and National Assembly elections to go to court and seek justice.

Bishop Idowu-Fearon stated this while speaking with journalists today shortly after his Easter sermon at Saint Michael Cathedral, adding that it was undemocratic if aggrieved parties failed to seek redress in the court of law.

He said forgiveness was necessary by the two leaders so as to forget the past and forge ahead for progressive development, this is just as he called on the congregation in his Easter message to forgive one another as demonstrated by God through His son, Jesus Christ.
