PSY - Gentleman

Gentleman is a K-pop (Korean pop) song and 19th single by South Korean recording act PSY.

PSY wrote the song with its producer, Yoo Gun-hyung.

It was released on April 12, 2013 and is the follow-up to his international monster hit single Gangnam Style.

After its release, the song went straight to the Number 1 spot on the South Korean Gaon Singles Chart and the Billboard Korea K-Pop Hot 100.

In the US, it reached Number 5 on the Billboard Hot 100 but topped the Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart.

As of 2017, the single has sold more than 1.6 million units in South Korea. It has also been certified silver in the UK and gold in Denmark, Italy and Australia.

Tidbit: The censored word in the main line of the song which was initially teased as “I’m a mother f••••• gentleman” during the promotion, was later revealed to be “father”.
