15 Cultists And Kidnappers Arrested In Port Harcourt
NIGERIAN Army, yesterday, paraded 15 hoodlums arrested at some black spots in Town area of Port Harcourt, Rivers State capital.
Spokesman of 2 Brigade, Captain Lazarus Eli, told newsmen at the Brigade headquarters where they paraded the suspects, that 142 persons were arrested during the military raid on the criminal hideouts, adding that 127 were later released after investigation.
He said the 15 suspects paraded will be handed over to the appropriate authorities for further action.
He said: “One hundred and forty two suspects were arrested during the raid operation. However, after profiling the suspects, some were released while 15 suspects are being interrogated and would be handed over to the relevant security agencies for further investigation.”
Continuing, the Brigade’s spokesman said residents in the state should not panic over the show of force by the army on the streets as part of the Exercise Crocodile Smile, a military operation launched in the region.
