Dad: how are you Chioma?

(Adams finished locking the gate and started walking towards us)

Chioma: am fine daddy, ehm dad I want you to meet my friend Adams..

Adams: good morning sir..

Dad: how are you Adams?
*
Adams: am fine sir..
*
Dad: how do you both know each other?

Adams: we are from same school and I also live down the street.

Dad: nice to meet you Adams, why don’t you come inside, I bought some stuff for everyone..

Adams: I would love to but sir I have something important I need to do at home urgently..

Dad: no problem, i have it right here(as he opened the door of the backseat and brought out two packs of chocolate and handed it to him)

Adams:wow thank you sir,am so grateful..
(then junior interrupted them)

junior: Chioma is he your boyfriend?

we all looked at him in shock..

Dad: junior what do you know about boyfriend and girlfriend?

I watched them as they both entered the house with the nylon filled with chocolates and ice creams..

Adams: so Chioma what do you say?

Chioma: what are you talking about? I thought we are back together already..

Adams:that what I want to hear you say(as he pulled me into a deep kiss)

we we’re still smooching passionately when we heard junior’s voice beside us..

Junior: Chioma daddy said he forgot his phone in the car..
we quickly separated ourselves as i cleaned my lips..

Chioma: uhm junior you said what?

junior: I said it, his your boyfriend, am going to tell daddy(as he turned back and started running)

Chioma:junior wait(as I ran after him and caught him)junior pls don’t tell daddy you saw me kissing..

Chioma: yeah mj texted me not too long that i should follow her and sean to a birthday party that all..

Adams: that where am going to perform, pls can you attend?

Chioma:am not sure oo,you know my dad just came, I don’t know if he can allow me ooo..

Adams: I really need you to come, it by 4pm,I will be going with My sister in an uber while mj and sean are coming together,pls can you tell your mum or dad?

Chioma: Adams am scared oo but I want you to tell my mum,you know she agrees to anything you tell her…

Adams: okay you tell her first and I will come by 2 or 3 to pick you up..

Chioma: okay sounds fine,have to go now bye(as I gave him a kiss on the lips)
I removed the two small bags from the booth for my dad and junior before picking up his phone from his car..
I entered and carried my dad’s bag into my mum’s room then I took junior’s bag to my room..

Adams’s pov

I got home and saw a black new Porsche parked outside my house…
*
Adams: who owns this car?(as I entered the gate)..
my mum and dad aren’t home except my sister, could it be one of her friends?
*
I walked into the house and ran up the stairs, I was about entering my room when I heard a sound coming from my sister’s room..
I walked close to her door and pushed it open, right before my eyes was my sister and a guy naked on bed having sex.

Adams: WHAT?
they separated themselves immediately and covered themselves with the bedsheets..
*
Hilda: Adams w..when did you get here?
*
Adams: not too long..
*
kids we’re home(we heard our parents downstairs)

Hilda: Jesus,mum and dad are home,Adams get out pls(as she started dressing up)

I stood there watching while they dress up,I was watching the guy dressing up when I caught a glimpse of his his manhood,oh geez this dude’s manhood looks like two cucumber joined together, how did my sister allow this thing enter her womanhood?

I quietly walked back downstairs and saw my parents on the couch..

Adams: come and carry me nah,I will even tell mum that..

Dad: Adams what did you want to report to us about?

Adams: yes it nothing (laugh)
the maid walked towards us and gave a phone to my sister

maid: aunty Hilda the guy that followed you upstairs forgot his phone on the dinning table..

Mum: what?, what guy?(as she sat up)

Dad: blessing what guy are you talking about?

my sister gave her a wink to shut up and she quickly kept quiet..

maid: ehm ma it it nobody..

mum: give me that phone(as she grabbed it from her hand), she clicked the power button of the iPhone and saw his picture on the wallpaper..is this the guy?

Hilda: mum a friend of mine was passing by so he decided to branch and say hi to me..

mum: then why did blessing say he followed you upstairs, is he in your room now?
*
Hilda: noo he already left,he didn’t follow me upstairs (as she gave the maid a mean look)

Dad: with his phone here? I don’t think so, am going to check (as they both ran upstairs)

Adams: am going to my room(as i walked upstairs)
*
Hilda: you this this girl, see what your basket mouth have caused, you know my parents are with me,why did you bring the phone..

maid: sorry aunty Hilda but never knew it would get this serious..

Hilda: you never knew abi,see if my parents should find him ehh,just get ready to go back to your village(pulling the maid’s ear)..

immediately I opened door and fell on my bed,I picked up my guitar and started playing when I heard a sound coming from my wardrobe..

I dropped my guitar and walked slowly to the wardrobe,the sound stopped, I held the handle gently with my two hands and pulled it open..,the same guy that was f-----g my sister in her room ran out immediately.

Adams: ahhhhh(I screamed with all my lungs)..

shhh keep quiet (as he covered my mouth)

Adams: what.. what are you doing in my room?

I quick collected it and put them in my drawer..

Adams: mum,dad I think he never came upstairs, you know how the maid act like mumu sometimes..

my dad isn’t much of a talker at times,even when I do something wrong he let my mum do the punishing,my sister talks a lot,like mother like daughter..

I followed my mum and dad as we walked downstairs and saw my sister still standing..

Hilda: so have you seen him..

my dad walked directly to the guest room to rest..

Mum: ehm, blessing (she called the maid)

maid: yes madam (as she ran out from the kitchen)

Mum: didn’t you just said a guy walked upstairs with my daughter?

my sister gave her an eye immediately..

Adams: Hilda can I talk to you for a second?

we walked far distance away from my mum..

Adams: I want you to help me convince mum to leave the living room, I want to help him escape..

Adams: yes,just hurry up, I have things to do..(as I collected his phone from her)

Hilda: okay(as she walked up to our mum), mum rat just entered your room(she shouted)

Mum: what? rat in my room?(as she got up and ran upstairs..
while my sister was running upstairs, she gave me a wink while I gave her a thumps up..

I quickly ran into my room and saw the guy sitting on my bed..

Adams: dude common let go (as I toss his phone to him)

thanks(as he stood up and followed me downstairs), I was tiptoeing down the stairs as he followed me at my back..
I was almost down the stairs when my dad bursted out of the guest room,the guy ran up while i rushed to stop my dad from coming immediately..

Adams: dad I want to talk to you..

(he stopped to look at me)

Dad: about what?
*
Adams:uhm pls can I tell you in the guest room, it between me and you..

(he looked at me for a second)

Dad: uhm okay(as he opened the door and walked in), I quickly rushed to the stairs and whispered to him to start running..
he immediately took to his heels and ran out of the house..

Adams: phew that was close..
*
Dad: Adams am waiting for you(as he stood at the entrance)

Adams: uhm Dad about that,I just wanted to ask if you could give me 1k to buy something..
*
Dad: is that what you call secret?
*
Adams: uhm yes..
*
Dad: you must be sick upstairs (as he pulled out 1k from his wallet and handed it to me before walking upstairs)
my sister and my mum walked downstairs immediately..

mum: Hilda I don’t thing there’s any rat in this house..(as she went back to the couch)

Hilda: maybe I was only imagining..
she walked up to me immediately..

Hilda: so what’s up, where is he?
*
Adams: dad caught him, his doing pressup in the guest room..

Hilda: what,how?
*
Adams: (laugh) calm down, I was just kidding right now his on the road..

Hilda: really, thank you so much (as she kissed me on the cheek)

Adams: see stop kissing my cheek jor(as I cleaned my cheek with my palm),mouth that you have use and kiss someone..

Hilda: okay you need to get ready, it 1’o’clock now,by 3 we will start going, and pls nobody must hear what you saw me doing this afternoon, did you hear?

Adams: yes ma(as I ran up the stairs)

I entered my room and saw my phone ringing, it was Chioma calling..

Adams:hi bae,what’s up?

Chioma: guess what?
*
Adams:you’re not coming again right?
*
Chioma: no you’re wrong, my mum and dad agreed that I can go..

Adams: it a lie..
*
Chioma: I swear am f-----g serious, pls come pick me up when you’re ready..

Chioma: love you too(laugh)and she hung up..

Adams:yes yes yes, (as I threw my fist in the air)

I was in my room when junior entered..

Chioma: junior what’s up?

junior: can I have my money now?
*
I opened my locker and removed 200naira from my savings and gave it to him..
*
Chioma: remember what I told you oo,daddy must not hear that you saw me kissing, you dey hear me?

Chioma both of you come let eat oo(my mum yelled)
we quickly rushed out of the door..

we were on the dinning table when my dad saw junior holding the 200naira note..

Dad: junior where did you get that money from (as he dipped a spoon of rice into his mouth)

junior: Chioma gave it to me..

Dad: why? what did you do?
*
junior: she gave me and told me not to tell you that I saw her kissing her boyfriend?
(I coughed out rice out of my mouth immediately)

Dad: what?,Chioma is that true?

Chioma: junior, when did I tell you that?,dad it a lie oo,I never told him that..

junior: Chioma why are you lying?

mum:heeey enough let forget it and eat in peace..

Chioma: infact give me my money(as I dragged it from his hand)

he bursted into tears immediately..

Chioma: (sigh) fine(as I gave him the money)
he brought out his tongue from his mouth immediately to show me..

junior: good for youuu..

Chioma: mum,dad,warn him oo…

(my mum and dad bursted into laughter immediately)..

Dad: anyway Chioma your mum and I have a surprise for you..

Chioma:hmmm,I love surprises,tell me..

Dad: (clears throat), okay, your mum told me about everything you’ve been facing in school with your friends, so we decided that you won’t be going back to your school for 3rd term again..

Chioma: what? why?(as I dropped my spoon)
*
Mum: because we are preparing your visa for you to complete your schooling in the UK..
*
Chioma: WHAT?(as I stood up immediately) UK?
*
Dad:yes my love,you will finish your university there..
*
(I just stared at them speechless)

mum: so what do you say?
*
Chioma: I don’t even know what to say, I love you both (as I walked up to them and gave them a very long tight hug with tears running down my face).

Chioma: so what university am I going?
*
Dad: don’t worry, am trying to check one of the best universities in the UK, when I find the perfect one I will let you know..

I went back to my food when I remembered all my friends, mj,sean and most especially Adams, what will he say?,
*
a knock came on the door immediately..
I stood up and rushed to open it,and it was Adams looking like somebody that they just signed to YBNL..
