My Life - S01 E29 (Story Episode)

MICHELLE'S POV :

I had the most lovely dream ever — was on a summer trip with Steve and my Dad but the only downside was that mum was absent, she had lost her life two years after Steve left for the states after battling with leukemia for ten full years — Its been three years since the ugly incidence and I’m so glad to have pulled through; though not unscathed but I had all the efforts of Steve, his mum and my Dad to thank — they offered an unending cord of support and strength to me. I was in 200 level already living my dream to become a medical doctor at HIGHER GROUNDS UNIVERSITY — a private university that was managed by Steve’s mum, Mrs Douglas but was owned by my boo, because he had the majority shares..

As the CEO of BEAUTIES & BELLE fashion house I had to remain restricted within the shores of this black nation, Nigeria and speaking of which, the company was doing far better than expected all thanks to Dad’s unending sponsorship programs and Steve’s ever cute face gracing some of our cover pages and all that–
I was also excelling in my role as the MD of Simpson’s automobiles and we had successfully assembled our first 3 pairs of motor vehicles in conjunction with TOYOTA MOTORS company… I was a young lady living the dream and focusing on the brighter hope the future seemed to hold dear — I was already 20 years and it was only a matter of time before me and Steve tied the knot on our blissful union of 5 years now.

I was still locked in my thoughts when my phone beeped signaling a message alert, I scrolled the screen to unlock it and clicked on the message notification —
“MR. POPOV WAS AT LINCOLN SERVICES LIMITED TODAY
HOLDING A MEETING WITH SOME TOP GOVERNMENT
OFFICIALS AND HIGH RANKED POLITICIANS–

I BELIEVE HE IS PLANNING A COUP ON THE CURRENT
ADMINISTRATION, HE PLANS TO RUN FOR THE POST
OF VICE-PRESIDENT; WHAT I DO NOT KNOW IS WHO
IS GIVING HIM FINANCIAL SUPPORT BUT IT SEEMS
TO BE A RICH BUSINESSMAN —
BARLEY WAS SIGHTED TODAY AT 1400 HOURS

I made a low chuckle, so Mr. Barley has the guts to return into the battlefield, well his return means only one thing; either Stanley or Mr. Popov contacted him and he has been assigned a new job– Mr. Popov was a very greedy man but a very cunning unpredictable foe too — Under 5 years, he amassed the political ladder in such a very fast pace, he was currently the GOVERNOR OF AKWA IBOM STATE, I learned that was were his mother was from when I was still dating Stanley, that idiot is now in 200 level, studying Mechanical Engineering at the UNIVERSITY OF PORT-HARCOURT.. He must feel he has succeeded but he will soon be hit with something greater than lightning—

I heard the door knob move as I jolted out of my reverie and moved my eyes to the door to see who was intruding into my thoughts, a head popped in revealing my funny and naughty lesbian housemate, Caroline; I made some friends in the University, Steve said he wasn’t cool with my sadist status during secondary school days, so I had to mingle with Dean and Sammy as well as making some few female friends of which Caroline was one of them; but I made sure to keep the circle really trimmed at least for now…

Caroline was already waving her hands across my face which made me throw hateful glares at her, ” Don’t you ever get some rest” I said trying to maintain my posture on the bed– “Oh! I do, but considering Betty hasn’t been around for quite some days now, I find it difficult to take some extended naps during the day” Betty also lived with us in our little cheesy four – bedroom flat apartment in GRA; it was one of many apartments built by Steve as well, He had an estate agency and Housing firm in Nigeria. “Well, there’s some sedatives in the pharmacy nearby or you could hook up one of your numerous contacts to make you steam off instead of running around the whole house half naked and looking for people to pick on” I replied her earlier comments, and I could tell from her facial expression she was really pissed at the statement; “well, whatever you say, b-tch”she scowled showing her displeasure at my reply to her.. Caroline was a really nutcase fellow but she was pretty and really astounding, her Father was the deputy Governor of Lagos state and she was into girls because she had been dealt with a couple of relationship blows which left her a sour taste towards the normal boy – girl relationship, she believed guys were always seeking to break down their female counterparts and being in a relationship makes you a weakling– well that was her ideology and as much I wanted to oppose her, I respected her decision…

CAROLINE : (drops her fork on the plate in front of her which was revealing a well garnished spaghetti)
I saw your friend today at the mall

MICHELLE : (furrow her eyebrows) which of my friends ?

CAROLINE : Sandra

MICHELLE : Sandra ?!!!! (her fork drops immediately making a loud clattering sound as it met with the plate)

CAROLINE : well thats not all — she was with Stanley and they were holding hands like some couples

MICHELLE : Sandra with Stanley ..Woah! That b-tch finally chooses sides, too bad she choose the foe and that will make her meet her loo — its time for the plan to fall into place …

CAROLINE : I already contacted Iyke to run a 24/7 surveillance on her.. She should be in the University too
