Exactly 1:30pm the guest has started arriving, there were different types of exotic jeeps and cars trooping into the william’s compound…

Big men, men of great dignatries as mama femi said even thier wives and children, handsome guys and beautiful ladies ,i couldnt’t help but stare at the wealth in them …..

Mama femi: It’s time to work o… She announced jokingly..

Nkechi: But mama, Shey We sef no suppose dress ni, must We look like maids…

Joke: Ahhh ,i swear nkechi i reason with you oo..

I didnt even bother contributing to thier conversation, but i know they were right all the Same ,We look exactly like maids, especially me, with my weaving all back and maid uniform ,coupled with rubber shoe, but Who am i to complain …,but one thing is for Sure ,no matter how poor i might look ,my beauty keeps radiating so no worries…

Mama femi: We have no choice ladies … Now get to work…

People kept trooping in, the sitting was flooded at exactly 2pm ,this rich people are always prompt oo …I said to myself.

Back In the kitchen mama femi instructed us on how to go about the serving , we start with the juice ,so we brought all the glass cups and wine cups ,placed them on the trays and poured the juice and wine ,we proceeded to the sitting room and started serving the guest…

There is a saying that says the rich always mingle with the rich ,while the poor mingle with the poor ,that was exactly how this gathering is, you gat to see the way they keep hugging and exchanging pleasantries, chief mrs and senator on the other hand kept welcoming the guest with smiles on thier faces ….

I could see alot of tola and precious friend ,even the makeup artist mingling together,gisting and enjoying life … Hmmm Keji life is good oo for those we are privileged..sigh..

The only person I was yet to see was Melvin the owner of the day ,… Why is not yet down ..I asked myself while serving the drinks ..it was when I served my drink to where tola and her friend is ,I learnt that Melvin will appear when chief mrs announce his arrival to Nigeria.. issokay

I kept patrolling round together with joke to check on those who are yet ti be served …the more we served the more people kept tropping in …

After the whole exchanging of greetings and pleasantries, chief mrs gorgeously marched to the front of the guest with the help of Charles her bodyguard…

I guess she wants to make the announcement I must be part of this ….I said to myself…

Chief Mrs: Good afternoon ladies and gentlemen,am very much happy to see you all, and most of all am so greatful for acknowledging me and my husband invitation… She pointed to senator who smiled back at her …. I won’t be surprised if you all know the reason for this gathering… But I still have to make this announcement for my one and only son,who left home some years back ,but with all achievement he is back here to his father’s land and even in our midst ,I want you all with a standing and clapping ovation welcome my son in person of MELVIN WILLIAMS ….

On hearing that everyone stood up and clapped ,I was so touched by the speech ,I could not clap because of the tray in my hand ,but deep inside me I did more than clapping .

At the mention of his name, he stepped down gorgeously heading towards the guest ,he was like an appearing angel ,so handsome ,in his arch colour suit ,and black Italian shoe , I couldn’t help but smile ,I felt like throwing myself on him ,I almost forgot my duty there ,the claps from the guest kept rolling ,…

Not until our almighty tola ran t hugged him and the guest started shouting, wow beautiful couple ,they look good together, God I could not help the fact that people were aware of thier relationship..

I just arrange my tray and left the gathering, I didn’t know mama femi noticed and followed me….

I got to the kitchen, dropped the tray and placed my head on the dinning table in the kitchen…

Mama femi: Keji!

I quickly stood up and adjusted myself.

Me: Stammering… M-a

Mama femi: Hmmm..my daughter seat down.

I was so confused … We both sat on the chair ..

Mama femi: Keji ,why did you leave the gathering..

Me: Hmmm.. nothing ma..

Mama femi: Keji, what am I to you ?

Me: Like a mother ..still confused…

Mama femi: So why should you lie to me

Me: Stammering….

B-ut a-m not Ma..

Mama femi: Yes you are and have noticed it …

God hope it is not what am thinking..am so dead …

Me: Noticed what ma… I asked..

Mama femi: That you have feelings for Melvin our boss son.. she dropped the bomb..

Ewww..I don die ..this woman just confirmed my fear …there is no need lying ..I just bowed my head shamefully.

Me: How did you know Ma..

Mama femi: Hmmm Keji you don’t have to be ashamed,so stop bowing your head…,you can’t fight feelings ,no one can ,but my baby I won’t want you to appear cheap ,Cus you are not sure if Melvin even notice you …

Me: I summon courage and raised up m head..

Yes Ma, I know it is a stupid thing to do.. tears rolled down my cheeks …

Mama femi: Cleaning my tears.. common Keji you don’t have to cry .. love isn’t stupid my dear, but you have to be sure you are nor the only one having such feelings, you have to be sure if Melvin feels the same and don’t think of throwing yourself at him, if he does he will show you himself okay ..

Me: Sobbing… Thank you Ma, I understand you..

Mama femi: That’s my girl ,now stop crying and get back to work …

Me: Smile…yes Ma
