Continues from the last episode

I smiled at myself. Today was suppose to be the day we will take out Mr sadiq but not anymore. I have already made up my mind not take the poor man out.

I remembered his kids and I knew that they’ll feel bad just the way I felt when my parents were killed brutally.

I took the poison and without thinking, I vanished to the oven.

THE MERMAIDS COVEN

I appeared in the coven and was disappointed, they were about four mermaid girls inside already including Tracy which is five.

Tracy: welcome Diana.

Me: hi Tracy.

I said making sure that the poison is well hidden. Tracy took her special necklace in her hands and from the look of things, it look as if she is about to go out.

Me: where are you going to?

I asked Tracy.

Tracy: me?

She asked surprised.

Me: yea.

Tracy: oh, I was given an assignment that I have to carry out before the communion.

Me: but can’t you wait. I mean you should take the communion first before engaging in the assignment.

Tracy: raised her eyebrow and since when do you care?

Me: never mind, I thought the communion will make you more beautiful, powerful and strong willed.. Too bad you are gonna miss all these by not taking the communion.

Tracy: hahaha. Mine will be kept in the golden pot till I get back..

she said and disappeared.

I looked for a means to distract the other mermaid girls but they wouldn’t fall to my tricks. I did all my possible best to let them go out for awhile but they wouldn’t go.

D--n, I was busy loosing time. Soon, the ten mermaids girls were complete. Tracy has gone for the assignment so she wasn’t included.

All these while, the poison was still with me and I doubt if I will have any chance to drop it.

A girl came out with a golden horn and blew it. We all bowed down for and began to sing praises unto her.

She came down in her human form. Her long air touching the ground, her golden crown on her head, her green eyes and her golden trident (the ultimate symbol of power).

She dropped the trident on the altar and moved to her seat. She sat down and ordered us to stand our feet.

Queen: you can all stand to your feet.

She said and we stood up. I have been trying all my best to hide the poison. I have been using my powers to stop the irritating smell from circulating in the air.

The queen stopped talking. She looked at us and me particularly. It could be that she is sensing danger but I have to make everything looked real.

I mentally used my powers and made sure that everywhere seems serene and calm. She stopped looking at me and continued her speech.

Queen: today is our communion as we all know. Today we shall be renewed in everything we do. Linda, Sandra and Tracy, you will have to take the communion before embarking on your mission.

She said and stopped for awhile, we were all quiet and she continued.

Queen: Tracy is on a special mission to bring down a certain pastor. Till after her mission, she will take her own communion.

She said and stopped again.

Queen: Diana, go into the sacred room and bring forth the golden pot.

She said and I was extremely happy. This is the opportunity of a life time. This is the opportunity I have been waiting for to execute my revenge.

Without wasting time, I entered inside the sacred room. I removed the poison and poured all the content inside the golden pot.

Immediately the poison entered inside the pot, a blue smoke started emitting from the pot. After a while, the smoke came down and I took the lid and covered the pot.

I came back with the pot and kept it at the middle of the girls. As expected the Queen prayed over it and everyone took a cup including me.

The queen’s cup was bigger than ours. She poured little of the blood from the pot to every girl but hers was much.

After saying some incantation, the queen drank all the liquid content in the cup at a go, one by one, the girls followed.

10 Minutes Later.

Queen: with red eyes drink the blood!!!

She shouted at me with fury in her eyes. All the girls have drank theirs minus me. I smiled and threw the cup away and the blood spilled on the ground.

Queen: what!!!!!!

She shouted as she stood up to advance at me but then, immediately the poison started having effect on her as she fell down holding her abdomen.

The girls were confused but one by one, reality hit them as they all fell down and held their stomach, all excluding me
