voice.

“Am fine,My father say I should call you”

immediately I heard that, I got relieved and

dissapointed at the same time. So no be bleep

before my six months of staying there elapses.

All the while he talked I could see the worries in

his eyes, and the pain, I pitied him but I went

ahead to talk with him like a man. I was able to

tell him how he was the cause, how he should

have behaved like a father, how he must have

pampered the boy so much that he is now out

of hand. He agreed with me. We talked into the

night and I bid him good night promising to do

anything within my power to bring back his first

son to his right senses. I left and retired to my

room. As I picked my phone I saw five missed, I

never knew I was going to spend so much time

with my landlord so I did not bother going with

my phone.

The two out of the five missed call was from my

aunt the other from my mum then two from

ADA. I promised my aunt that I will visit them at

Zuba that weekend but didn’t turn up and I

didn’t called.I was sure that’s why she was

called. I decided to call her the next day when

she will be awake, I guess she was sleeping

already. I called my mum and We talked for

some time. My mum is not an early sleeper so

calling her was not an issues. She asked me how

I was xqoping and gave me all those motherly

advice about being careful with girls.

I just giggled “You know am a good boy mama” I

said to her as I always did whenever she gave me

her advices. After the call I decided to call Ada

even though she may be asleep she will see that I

returned her call.

“Hello Artist” She replied from the other end of

the phone.

“So you are not yet asleep, don’t tell me you fly”

“Sleepy head, you think am like you that sleeps

by 8pm?” She said in a mocking voice.

“I was not sleeping o jare” I defended

girlfriend came around right?”

I could hear her laughter as she got amused by

“I sent you a message on whatsapp have you

seen it?”

“Nah , my data have been on but I will check it

just now” I told her before I heard “You have one

minutes remaining” at which I cut the call

without warning.

Immediately I put in my data whatsapp mesaages

rushed in like, they have been waiting for me at

the gate of my phone.

I opeened it and saw 359 unread mesages from

8 chats. My class group chat 351 msg so I

ignored it. Then I saw message from an unknown

number and knew it would be ADA’s. As I clicked

it I knew I was right when I saw. “Hello my

Artist, seems you are asleep already” I noticed

the icon brought out ‘online’ above her chat and

soon I saw ‘typing’ while I waited.

She: “Sleepy headed artist”

Me: winches! They don’t sleep

Me: So you went back to school and you did not

tell me.
