They climbed on top of her. The queen hatched a plan, and set about gathering what she would need.

The next day the seven dwarves all set out for the crystal cave after a lovely breakfast Snow White made for them. They wouldn’t be back until sunset. She waved them all good-bye and then set about her duties tidying up the house and preparing supper.

Late in the day someone knocked on the door, and when Snow White answered it she found an old woman in rags carrying a gray sack over her shoulder. The old woman looked ready to collapse, so Snow White invited her in and made them both tea.
