FRIDAYWS STATION*

Desmond looked up and his gaze caught Jade who was coming, handcuffed. He went to see her in prison.

She had her prisoners uniform on and her hair looked tattered. Her face is also dull and battered.

“Hey cousin” He smiled, wth a brief wave. There was a glas-swhich seprerated them.

Jade sighed heavily before sitting.

“What’s up?, You visited today. I’m quite astonished” She said.

“I came to check on your welfare and from the looks of it, I can see you are looking so bad. Seems your cell mates hasn’t been treating you so well”

Jade eyes turned teary immediately.

“This…All this were avoidable but you still went ahead. You never thought of the aftermath?” Desmond breathed.

“Right now, We are all happy. All of us. Whitney has Jayden. Clark has Natalie. John is still with Maureen and I got Prisca”

“What?, You guys are dating again?”

Desmond nodded.

“You would have been happy too… just like us if you didn’t take that stupid risk”

“I…regret it” She said, croakily.

“Every time in the cell,I keep reminiscing. I keep thinking of Whitney and the first time we met. It was just like yesterday. She was like, Hi, I’m Whitney Kennerson, your new roommate. So funny” She laughed, lowly and the tears escaped from her eyes.

“I allowed jealousy and envy cloud our friendship. Look at me now. I regret it so much. I’m glad you came today, I avoided my cellmates for the first time and it feels so good”

Desmond smiled broadly at her.

“After your prison life, you can still change. At least, you’ve been taught a lesson”

She nodded quietly.

“I wish you the best, Jade”

She looked down and sniffed.

“I’m gonna take my leave now. Pardon me for leaving on time” He said, and stood up.

“Wait!” She quickly said.

He looked at her and saw her gaze was fixed on him now.

“Tell Whitney I’m sorry. Tell Natalie I’m sorry for what I did to her. Tell everyone I’m sorry for breaking the trust they had for me. Please, tell them to find a place in their hearts to forgive me”

Desmond smiled.

“We paid a lot for this…”

“Huh?”

“You heard that right?, Reveal yourselves!” Desmond said, aloud.

Whitney and the others suddenly came from the other side, and how shocked Jade was, when she saw them all.

Whitney eyes were soaked to the brim, with hot tears. She slowly walked to Jade who stood up.

“Jade” She muttered, and placed her palm on the gla-ss.

Jade also placed her palm there, where Whitney palm was.

“I can finally see you had a soft self all this while. Its fine now, I forgive you. We all do” Whitney whispered, and her tears began rushing down.

Jade tears too escaped, finally.

She looked up and saw the others nodding.

“I’m sorry. I’m really sorry” She was sobbing loudly now.

Jade had her eyes down and her other palm was covering her sobbing and trembling mouth.

“I really wished I could hug you, Jade…” Whitney said.

“Let’s do that when you’re out” She smiled, and Jade nodded, still crying.

LATER THAT NIGHTNATALIE’S ROOM

On the huge bed was Natalie and Clark laying down. They also snuggled onto their bodies.

Clark arms were wrapped around her body and he kept his hands on her a-ss. They were both na-ked, since they just had a round of se-x.

They had their eyes closed. Natalie was the first to open them.

“Clark?” She called.

“Hmm?” He whispered, not opening his eyes.

“Its tomorrow… The last day for the exams” She stated.

“Yea, From 7-8:30am” He nodded.

“At 9:30, I’m leaving” She suddenly blurted. However, he didn’t open his eyes, for the fear of his now teary eye balls, getting expo-sed.

“You aren’t saying anything?” She muttered.

“Leaving to where?, The market?, The library?, park??” He asked.

She sighed de-eply and shook her head.

“The important stuff I wanna tell you, Clark. This is it-

Clark eyes tightened, and he snuggled her body in his body tightly too.

“Clark…” She whispered.

“I really don’t want you to leave. Natalie, please…don’t leave me. Don’t go” He was crying now, despite his eyes closure.

“How…how did you find out?”

“I came to the hospital and found you talking to your mum. You said you wanted to leave… cause…cause of your dad”

Natalie inhaled de-eply.

“Clark. I’ll be back”

“That how you left Jayden. You came back after 3½ good years!, I thought you were even gone for good. What if you come back after 10 years this time. Oh my heart” He sobbed.

“Clark, please. You need to be considerate. I’m gonna come back for you no matter what”

“When?, When will that be?, For how long am I gonna wait?, Tell me…” He asked.

Natalie swallowed.

“I…I don’t know but I won’t fail to contact you. My dad needs me. My family… They all need me now”

“I love you, Natalie. I won’t stop loving you. I can’t even stop loving you”

“Me too, Clark. I love you so much”

Clark finally opened his eyes, and it appeared red. When Natalie saw it, tears left her eyes, hurtfully.

“We will be fine. All of us” She for-ced a smile.

Clark looked down and laid his head on her ch-est. Natalie held him closer and played with his hair.

THE NEXT DAY9:41AM*

“So, Natalie…You are really leaving?” Whitney asked.

They all found it ha-rd to believe after she announced it that early morning to them before the exam.

Natalie nodded.

“Gosh. I’m gonna miss you” Whitney said, and hug-ged her. She was about to cry.

“Me too” Maureen cried and joined the hug.

“I’m not leaving now. I’ll still have few minutes to spend with you two. How about we go to the park and catch all the fun?”

Maureen and Whitney smiled with a nodded.

“So, you think we guys don’t miss you, huh?…Or is it cause we don’t talk too much?”

“Or maybe cause I’m not too close to her?” Prisca snickered.

Natalie giggled.

“Y’all can all come. Let’s go” She said, and walked to a sad Clark. She held his arm and shook it.

“Let’s go. You will be fine”

“How will I be fine without you, huh?” He sighed.

“Let’s just go”

“Maureen?” John suddenly called.

“Yes?” She answered, sweetly.

“Can we talk in private first?”

“Yeah sure. Uhmm… You guys can go. I’ll give you a call and both of us will come right away” Maureen said.

“Okay then” Natalie winked and they all left.

“What’s up?, What do you wanna talk about?” Maureen smiled at his face.

“Let’s talk at the restaurant” John held her hand.

“You can order whatever you desire”

“Okay” She giggled as they left together.

VIRGIL RESTAURANT**

“So, what do you wanna order?” John asked.

“I’ve always asked to have this” She smiled.

“They are my next favorite”

“And what could that be?” He asked

“Banana pudding and Boston cream pie and a glas-sof gra-pe drink to wash it down” She giggled.

John smiled and gave a pressed the red bu-tton on the table. The waitress came fast enough.

“What would you like to order, sir?” She asked.

John told her what Maureen said, and he also added that, he wanted a bottle of water for himself.

She nodded and left.

“Huh?, Just a bottle of water?” Maureen asked.

“I’m not that hungry, Angel” He said.

“But still It’ll feel odd if I’m eating and you are not. If you aren’t eating, I’m not. Period” She snarled and looked away.

10 MINUTES LATER**

John watched Maureen in amusement as she ate the banana pudding.

“Oh wow. I thought you said you wouldn’t eat if I don’t eat”

She scoffed.

“Change of plans. This food is to good. Yummy!. I also get it, you aren’t hungry. It’s und-erstandable. Its happens” She smiled, and shrugged her shoulders.

John cleared his throat.

“Actually. I didn’t call you here just because of the food and drinks alone”

“So, what did you call me for? Oh yeah, the private talk” She said.

She took her mouth to the straw and slowly sipped the gra-pe drink from the gla-ss.

“I came to talk to you”

“Hmm Hmm?? I know”

“Maureen, I’m leaving” He suddenly said, and Maureen mouth stopped sipping.

Her gaze werw still on him. Her appetite ran off immediately.

“I said it” She whispered.

“What?”

“I knew”

“You knew??”

“It was so obvious. I had an hint. So, you leaving me for real?, When??” She asked.

“Tomorrow” He replied.

“When are you coming back?” She asked.

“I…I don’t know”

She sniffed.

“Why is everyone leaving?, I don’t want you to leave John. Please, don’t go. Must you even leave?” She said, holding his hands.

She was crying now.

John wiped them off.

“Stop wiping them off!… Just stay”

“Maureen, I’m…I’m sorry”

“Don’t tell me that, please!. You will stay, right?” She muttered.

“I won’t” He cooed, and she freed his hand away from her grip.

“Maureen, I-

“You can leave. I don’t wanna see you again” She said, looking down.

“We will talk later, okay?, You need an alone time” He said.

“Its so unfair!, You made me skip the park with the others. You made me order this sweet cuisine! You then had the guts to say all those rubbish!”

“Its not what you thi-

“I’m leaving first” She grabbed her bag.

“You would have at least waited for me to eat the pie before blurting out the nonsense which cause this loss of appetite. I always knew we weren’t meant to be” She said, crying, and left with an heavy heart.

John was also crying. He slowly sat down and kept his head on the table, sobbing as low as he could.
