'Jemeji' Season 1 Episode 87 Recap - Aired: Tuesday 4 July 2017

Folake is with Kingsley in his living room.
She asked what she missed.
He says her service charge payment.

A furious Senami walks.
She tells Kingsley that he should just imagine he's dating a girl and they have issues but he's trying to work it out then he takes off to Lagos.
Kingsley says he wouldn't do that.
Senami says hypothetically, he did.
Kingsley says it would mean he's not very serious about the relationship and he's the type of guy who only knows how to run away when things get difficult.
Senami says exactly!
She storms off into the room and Folake follows her.

Iya Oviyon sees Petunia on her way home.
She stops to ask her if she has Jonah's number.
Petunia asks why.
Iya says Oviyon went to Lagos without telling her.
Petunia says she doesn't have Jonah's number but she will tell Fonton to ask Jonah to call her.
Iya thanks her.

Jonah returns home from work and calls Oviyon but there is no response.
Jonah calls his father.
Fonton tells him that he has become a well-respected man in the village.
Jonah asks how he goes from a man who burnt down the clinic to one who's respected.
Fonton says he knows it's Oviyon telling him lies and he would deal with him.
Jonah says Oviyon is in Lagos.
Fonton says the village has moved on from the matter.
Jonah says he has to go.
Fonton asks when Oviyon got there.
Jonah says he got there last night and he just needed a break from the village.
Fonton says he went out of shame because he couldn't save a small boy that was drowning, he just stood by, watching.

Kingsley is having a drink.
Senami walks in and he asks how she's doing.
She says she's fine and wants to go and see Chief.

Petunia is at home with her husband.
She tells him that Iya Oviyon will soon run mad as she's looking for her son who left her for Lagos.
Fonton says Jonah called him to tell him Oviyon was in Lagos.
Petu tells Fhim that's it's a good thing because Oviyon is no longer around to fight him.
Fonton says it's indeed a good thing.
Petu says Iya was asking for Jonah's phone number.
Fonton says he will make her go and join her son so that they can leave Aji for him.
Petu tells him he's beginning to learn.

Senami comes to the palace.
Otogan says he didn't know she was this disrespectful.
She says she was raised to always respect elders but she finds it difficult when the same elders do strange things like trying to kidnap her.
Otogan says elders sometimes take actions the children might not understand.
He says he has had enough and since she has decided to serve in Aji, then she must serve.
She says she can only do that when he can assure her of her safety.
He says she's safe
She asks who has her grandmother's body and what they plan to do with it.
He is unable to answer.

Peace comes to see Folake at her new place.
Folake gives her some hairbands she got from Lagos.
Peace looks worried.
Folake asks if she's okay.
Peace says it's Iya Oviyon who insulted her.
Folake asks if she has heard from her own mother
Peace says she's in Lagos and she needs someone to help look for her.
Folake asks if she's telling her to help.
She asks where she can find her.
Peace tells her to use her computer.
Folake asks for her name.
Peace says her name is Adeyomi and she went with her dad to Lagos
Folake asks what her father's name is.
Peace says she doesn't know but she knows he was a land surveyor.
Folake says so he was a land surveyor who came to Aji and her mother fell in love but he left for Lagos and her mother went to look for him.
She says she will try and look for them.

Oviyon comes to a lady's house.
She asks what he's doing there.
She gives him two hot slaps and asks if he hasn't done enough.

She sits and cries.

The little boy who has been the cause of Oviyon's hallucinations is in a photo hanging on the wall.

Fonton comes to see Iya Oviyon.
His boys bring in baskets of tomatoes and vegetables and kegs of palm oil.
She asks what's going on.
He says he came to say sorry as he heard Oviyon has abandoned her and left for Lagos.
He gives her Jonah's number and says Jonah should be at work so she can call later.
He says just as Jonah is taking care of Oviyon in Lagos, he would take care of her in the village.

Obi tells Otogan about Fonton's plans to build a toll gate and to charge the citizens a levy.
Otogan tells him to keep watching.

Obi suggests that Otogan digitises his documents.
Otogan says he will think about it.

A guard comes to inform Obi that some children are outside waiting to see him.
Obi tells Otogan that they are children from the school where he teaches; he promised to show them around.
Otogan calls him a man of the people.

The lady asks Oviyon why he came.
She asks if it's because they didn't jail him but collected his settlement money that he thinks it's okay to kill their son.
He asks why she didn't jail him.
She says she wanted to but she needed the money.
She says she is ashamed that she was so broke she had to take the money.
He says she chose money over jailing her son's killer when she should have jailed him and he would have been free.
She asks if he thinks he would ever be free.
He says he sold all he had to pay her but everywhere he goes, he sees her son and his life is falling apart.
She was maybe that's what he deserves.
He begs her to forgive him or punish him as he wants his life back.

Her husband returns home and beats Oviyon to a pulp.

Obi joins the children outside the palace and they challenge him to a game of football.
He takes off his shirt and trousers, leaving his underwear.

Otogan comes out to watch.
He is shocked and confused when he doesn't see the scar on Obi's leg.
