“What is Joshua doing here?”,Liza queried
When it looked as though Fiona wouldn’t respond,Liza concluded with “You invited him here,didn’t you? You invited him here to kill us all,isn’t that the reason?”
“Will you shut your mouth, Elizabeth”,Fiona said the minute she had comprehended Liza’s words
Fiona turned to Tiara “Believe me,Tiara,I had nothing to do with this. I didn’t invite him. I was telling the truth when I said Joshua and I were no more”
“Maybe it’s time for you to tell him that,make him understand”,Tiara said
“Where is he?”
“He’s outside the gate”
“I’ll go have a talk with him”
As she made a step,the door opened and in came Joshua holding a bouquet of flowers and a packet of chocolate and also wearing an enormous smile which died the moment he saw Tiara with her composed self. Looking at her neck,he realized how it would give him a joyous feeling for his big hands to wrap round her slim neck and strangle her or better still, snap it.
He tried smiling at her but it wasn’t forthcoming.
Damn,he hated her.
Pedro knew there was tension in the room. Tiara handled hers well,too well. Fiona looked like someone who was likely to faint. The moment Joshua saw Tiara,his looks changed to that of someone who has seen the thief that stole something from him but couldn’t retrieve it. Liza looked like a Lion ready to pounce on a rejected meal or like someone who wanted to commit a murder.
Pedro decided to say something that would ease the tension but Tiara beat him to that- someone always does that
“Why don’t you take your visitor outside”,Tiara said, breaking the silence and easing the tension.
Fiona nodded as she led Joshua out of the sitting room.
“Tiara,I have to go and start making preparations for the document”,Pedro said, already up
“Okay. Call me later?”
“I will, Tiara. Bye”
“Bye”
Pedro left.


Tiara turned to Liza “Tell me what happened to you in the street”,Tiara started
The still unstable girl stood for some seconds and sat down
“Start talking”,the firm voice came from Tiara
“I killed a man”
