Outside Tiara’s brick mansion, Joshua and Fiona stood trying to make a conversation without been aware of the car parked across the street, watching them.

“What were you thinking, coming to look for me in this house?”,Fiona asked
“And what were you thinking packing your suitcases and leaving our house?”
“That’s your house,not mine”,Fiona said with defiance.
Joshua smiled and took her hand into his “It belongs to you,me and our baby”
“No Joshua, I ended our relationship, remember?”
“You did? When was that? because I can’t seem to remember anything”,he said half jokingly.
“You don’t trust me anymore”,Fiona said with all seriousness.
“That’s a lie,Fiona. I trust you more than the way I trust myself”
“Joshua……”
“I’m sorry. Believe me,I am”
“Joshua……”
“Come back home with me”
“I can’t”
“Why?”

“You killed a man?”,Tiara asked, this time, dropping on the nearest sofa.
“Yes,I killed a man”
“Did he die?”,she couldn’t stop herself from asking that useless question.

Liza laughed “Of course, Tia. Ask me a more serious question”
“When did this happen? When did you kill him? Who was he?”
“Tia,let’s take the questions one at a time. That happened when I lived on the streets”
“Why did you kill him?”
“Because…….”
Liza was interrupted as three angry looking men with masks,each holding guns,which from the way they held it,one would tell they were professionals. The masks they wore only revealed their eyes,little part of their nose and mouth.
One of them stepped forward and Tiara noticed as Liza’s body shaking. Tiara maintained her cool but she found it difficult, she wasn’t going to deny,she hadn’t been threatened with a gun in her life.

The first gunman spoke “Which of you is Tiara Michaels?”
The three men waited but got no answer from any of the sisters, one of them brought his gun forward, ready to shoot at anything as Liza began mumbling senseless words. The second gunman dragged Liza by her hair and aimed his gun at her temple and asked again “Are you Tiara Michaels?”
She shook her head
“Who is Tiara Michaels?”,she heard the first gunman who seemed to be in charge, asked and she stared fixedly at Tiara. The third gunman noticed this and walked up to Tiara and dragged her by the hair, just as the second gunman had done.
Liza saw from the corner of her eyes as the first one aimed his gun between Tiara’s eyes,already pulling the trigger, and Tiara closing her eyes,accepting death. Just then, she heard herself yelled at the top of her voice “She’s not Tiara!”
“Who do you mean?”,he asked, his gun still aimed at Tiara.
“She is not Tiara!”
“Who is Tiara?”
“She’s not here”
“Where she dey?”
“She went out with her boyfriend”,Liza answered without thinking as Tiara shot her quizzical look.
Liza watched as the gunman released Tiara reluctantly.
“If I find out you’re lying, I’ll come back here and kill you. You understand me?”
Liza shook her head
“If you dey lie,I go come back for you,and no tell police about this our small visit”,the head gunman signaled to the two others and they left the way they came in- in a hurry.
Both Tiara and Liza were relieved that none had died but both were thinking who might have placed a price on Tiara’s head.

“I can’t believe you’re doing this”,Joshua said to Fiona in a cafe,not far from home, where they sat,talking about their relationship
“I have to do this. It’s the only way I can think of bringing Tiara down”
“You can do that through other ways but not living under the same roof as that monster!”
“She’s my sister”
“Oh please,tell that to the mirror. She’s the goddess of revenge”
“Joshua, I’m doing this and you’re not stopping me”
“Does she trust you?”
“She thinks I have to earn it and speaking of that, I have to go now. She thinks both of us are over, remember?”
“Whatever you say. I’ll drop you”
“No,you don’t need to do that,she might suspect something”
“I hate already that our relationship revolves round your devious sister, so I’m dropping you off and that’s final”
Fiona make no move to stand up,so he continued “Look, I’ll just drop you at your gate,no one would see us”
Fiona nodded and both were soon on their way out of the cafe. Fiona entered Joshua’s car and both began their journey back. Unknown to them,they were been followed
They arrived at Tiara’s house, only to find Tiara and Liza standing by the gate. It was too late as they were already spotted.

The car halted and Fiona alighted
She never knew she could find Liza and Tiara standing at the gate. What were they looking for?
“Tiara,what are you doing here?”,Fiona asked
Tiara with her cold and calm voice answered “We were attacked and I came here to see if my lovely is alright, only to be surprised to see you coming back immediately after the attack with a man you claim you had nothing to do with”
“Tiara,it isn’t what you…..”
“Meet me inside”,Tiara interrupted her and made her way inside
Joshua watched from inside his car and knew things weren’t alright, with the way Tiara had gone inside and with the look on Fiona’s face,even Liza’s face.
He soon stepped down from his car and walked up to where that stood
“Is everything alright?”,Joshua asked
“No,everything is not alright, not after you hired gunmen to kill my sister!”
“Excuse me”
“Will you shut your mouth, Elizabeth”,came from Fiona
“How do you explain leaving the same moment the gunmen showed up and coming back the same time they were gone?”
“How did you know the moment I was gone? Look, I had nothing to do with that”,he shrugged “Not that I would be sad if your sister was killed by those gunmen and I would have given them flowers if they had carried out their mission well and God bless whoever sent them”
“Yeah? I’ll come for you. I will kill you”,with that, she walked out
