Mrs. Agaba rushed into the hospital, as quickly as her legs could carry her.



She met some Nurses at the Reception who directed her to the emergency ward where her husband was being treated.
The fear that her husband was dying dug into her guts and was slowly clawing its way up through her, into her heart.
After pacing outside the ward, she sat down after awhile, bent her head and closed her eyes.
”Mrs. Agaba?”
she snapped her head up and looked at the doctor, whose facial expression was enough to tell her that it wasn’t good news.



Doctor: i am sorry ma, your husband didn’t make it.
She ran forward and gripped his white jacket while the Nurses came and tried to drag her away from the doctor, who stood quietly without moving an inch.
They dragged her away and she burst into tears, while the kind nurses tried to comfort her.

Jayjay: Mum, thanks for coming on time, i need to leave now.
His Mum: what is wrong, what happened?
Jayjay: Mum, it is nothing that you should be worried about.
His Mum: Onyi, talk to me, what is the matter?
Jayjay: mum, okay, this is it, Dad is in a critical condition in the hospital.
His Mum: what? What happened to him?
Jayjay: According to my stepmum, she said he had an accident, a hit and run driver precisely, his driver died on the spot, while dad was lucky to have made it to the hospital.
His Mum: i just pray he is okay.




Jayjay: i pray so too, so i called you here, so you can take care of Martha, so i can go over to my apartment now and pack few things and leave for Abuja rightaway.
His Mum: it’s okay, take care of your self son.
Jayjay: thanks Mum…(hugs her) i love you.
His Mum: i love you too son. Safe journey.

Mr. Ubah is seen in an uncompleted building talking to two guys who were smoking local weeds and exhaling it through their mouth and nostrils.



Mr. Ubah: you guys did a good job, i just confirmed that he is dead.
1st guy: boss, trust us, we always deliver.
Mr. Ubah: it’s obvious, you guys are the best, those other idiots failed woefully, they will rot in jail.
2nd guy: boss, our remaining balance?
Mr. Ubah: oh, yes, take it…(handing over wands of cash to him)…i am really happy with the job you guys did, so i added a hundred thousand to the agreed amount.
1st guy: boss, boss, thank you, if you need us again, you get our number, just call us.




Mr. Ubah: (handing over a picture to them) i need you guys to take out this one again, as soon as possible.
1st Guy: boss, na so your enemies plenty? No headache sha, just dey pay us well, we go take care of all of them.
Mr. Ubah: this one is the son of the man, i still need him dead.
2nd Guy: boss, no problem, we go deliver, your pay nah 500K.
Mr. Ubah: just do the job, money is not the problem…(he said and left to his car)
1st guy: omoh, that man get money die o.
2nd guy: guy, abeg forget jare, make we go groove life.




1st guy: guy, season 7 go make sense this evening, make we go there this night, the place go hot tonight, with all this money wey there our hand.
2nd guy: oya nah, make i finish this wrap first.

Six hours later, Jayjay had arrived safely to his father’s house, his step-mum had called earlier to tell him to come straight to the house instead of the hospital.
He entered inside and met his step mum and some other people sitting quietly, some of them especially the women were even crying, he knew within him that the worst has happened.
Jayjay: (kneeling beside his step-mum) mum, tell me he is alive.
Mrs. Agaba: I am sorry Jayjay, your dad didn’t make it out of the emergency room, he died while the doctors where trying to save his life. The doctors claimed he lost alot of blood.
His father’s best friend came to his side and started to talk sense into him.
Dad’s best friend: Jayjay, you need to be strong and be a man now, Death is something that is inevitable, just see this as God’s will, God giveth and he taketh, everything happens for a reason, nothing happens by chance, you need to be strong now, you are now the man of the house, your mother and your sister are now looking up to you, so man up and take up your responsibilities.
Jayjay: (tearfully) thank you sir.
Mrs. Agaba: (crying bitterly) Jayjay, i told your dad not to go out, i warned him not to go out this morning, see now…
Jayjay: (rubbing her back) mum, it’s okay, stop crying and look for something to eat, you look really pale.
Jayjay’s phone started to ring, he ignored, it rang for the third time before he checked the callers I.D and saw that it was Lordrigo and he excused himself and went to take the call.
Lor’d V: Onyi, anything? Why didn’t pick the call at first.




Jayjay: sorry, i wasn’t in a good mood.
Lor’d V: sorry, i just called to tell you that the guys that were after you have been apprehended by the police.
Jayjay: thanks and just so you know, am in abuja, my dad is dead.
Lor’d V: sorry for your loss Jay, i am coming over now, i think there is some kind of connection between the two incident.
