“I had always dreamt of this wonderful day, I never dreamt on being wheeled down the aisle.

Just believe my baby” she said wiping the fat tear rolling down her cheek. “Now, get ready. It’s your day.but first, let’s go have you bathed”

I smiled and sq££zed my mom’s hand when she came closer and carried me on the wheelchair before wheeling me to the bathroom to have a wash.

After the bath, I wore my under wears gifted to me from my mom and sat in front of the vanity mirror in the room, being pricked by various pins, combs and what not as the stylist did my hair.

Felicia and Daisy, my close friends back then in school sat in the corner and listened carefully to my mom’s gist of how wedding days were in the 80’s and 90’s. The chatter was a noisy well as the trio laughed and enjoyed themselves while watching the stylist style my hair beautifully.

Hair and make up done, Felicia removed my beautiful wedding gown and smiled at me. “Here comes the bride, here comes the bride…” she happily sang loudly.

“Please, come dress me up before you continue singing like there is water in your lungs” I joked.

In about five minutes, I was already dressed in my wedding gown. It was a stark white satin and lace flowing gown,it was tight at the bodice with its sweetheart neckline. The top park plain but the bottom where it was cinched at the waist had a silver sequinned ornate design round it.

The gown had a dreamy English net covered with an exquisite floral lace appliqué around its bodice and bigger floral laces gown downwards until the hemline.
