She left after we spoke. The sun was already going down when i realised that i was already late for home. I took off and went home.. ”Haaa , na who get this slippers” * inwardly* i gently opened the door , and saw alves banging a white skinny girl. ” oboys ooh, this one na correct life p--n ooh. Chaiiiiiiiii see wetin alves dey chop. Wait ooh, alves dey bang while me dey here dey die of kongi.. Haaa e no make sense nah.” i was still thinking of what to do, immediately, Nepa brought the light reviewing my bright face to the duo banging themselves.. ”Oboy, how long have you been here” alves said to me.

Me: emmmmm., not long.

Alves: hmmmm * kissed the girl*

The girl gets up and left the room leaving only i and alves..

Me: chaii, guy u dey enjoy ooh
alves: u haven’t seen enjoyment yet. This is just the least.

Me: gee, u go connect me nii

Alves: gerrrra of here *joking*

**Fun all the way till nite fall**

The next day, unlike me, i woked up around 5:12am, checked the food on the roster, cooked the food for the day. ( the roster, we both made it for ourselves)

The Yam and sauce was still on the fire when alves gets up.

Alves: gee, abeg epp me boil water. U don forget say we gat that same man again today ( Mr Edward. The lecturer that embrassed me at the first day of lectures)

Me: dude, me forget ooh.

I immediately poured the hot water into one bucket, called on alves to join me in the bathroom..

After taking our bath, we ate the undone food and left for school. We arrived at the school gate 5mins before the lectures start. We entered into the hall, sat down in different chairs. Since alves wasn’t new in the school, he already have friends while i on the other hand was still a nobody tothem. After some mins, the lecturer came into the hall and everywhere became silently dead as a graveyard.

Lecturer: you all knows about the great competition coming up on the graduation day of our ex students.

There was murmuring, some students knew about the competition while other doesn’t know about it.

Lecturer: silent. Since have told u guys now, i hope everybody is heard me right?

All: yes sir.

Lecturer: so what will happen will be this. All the 50 students in this class will participate, and they will be dived into 20 groups. 5 persons in each group. And each group will perform a song which they wrote by themselves. And note, anybody that is being disqualified is on his or her own. Someone’s mistake will no get the entire group to be disqualified, rather the victim will leave the competition. And also, u must not sing an already made song. Create ur own song cause this is a music school….. Lectures continues tomorrow. Goodday students.

All: good day sir…….

i was still talking to myself wen i feet a soft hand touching my shoulder. ”hey , why re u all alone here; dont u wanna have fun with ur fellow guys” *Nancy brought me back to reality.*

Me: was just thinking about how to present a song to the crowd on that day. U know, am a kind of person who has stage fright.

Nancy: oh poor little thing…. Dont worry, i have a solution.

Me: wait a min, u called mua a thing * igbo dialect: bia nwa a odika isi adi gi nma*

Nancy: what’s the meaning of what yu just said now?

Me: oh, u mean that, i was just singing.

Nancy: 2moron by 8pm at vent motel. Will be waiting for u.

Me: re u asking out on a date?

Nancy: seem like ……. Byeee
