i saw myself seating on a honourable seat. Among other senior officers.

“captain you’ve been assign a combatant role to play. You’ve been appointed to work hand in hand with the Nigeria Army in borno state. Captain do you copy? ”[/b]

i look around to know who he was talking to, but all the officers around me were from 1 bar to 2 star. Just as i take a look where our rank insignia is always placed, i now realise that i was a 3star oga. So am the captain he was addressing.


“sorry sir, i cleared my throat, what role do i have to play with the federal combatants?”
i manage to ask amid confusion.

“you see, when the federal combatants captured a territory from boko boys, they will move forward to capture more territory but the Gallant MOPOL will occupy the area. Ur role as a RAN officer is to make sure the place is safe , and also secure life and properties by being a watch dog and also guarding the people of that area. Put on stronge security check. Untill the place is safe again.”

“o i see” was my answer
“so thats the role you gat to play. You’ll be going with the 3rd and 4th platoons, you’ll be the one to command them”

“ok sir, but how about arms, are we to carry or not”

the general look direct to my face then sigh
“you’re on a peace keeping mission so no arms,only baton, tear gas, koboko and hand cuff.”

“what!!!” it was more of an exclaimation than a question


“yes, that a direct order” he replied candidly

“from who?” i manage to ask him

“at 18.00hours on the dot tomorow” he replied
“ok sir roger that loud and clear” {for my mind,make devil himself punish ona not God,so ona don arrange for my funeral finish won come send me to go pay ABUBAKIR SHEKEAU my last homage before dem go bury me}


“copy” the guy replied
i just stood up salute and stormed out of the office banging the door very hand.
